Installation Tips:

1. Drain the engine oil while the engine is warm (but turned off) so that the oil and contaminants flow out.

3. Thread on the new filter until gasket contacts mounting surface, then tighten according to the engine manufacturer’s recommendation (typically hand-tight plus a fraction turn).

4. Refill the engine with the correct type and quantity of oil. Run the engine briefly, then shut off and re-check oil level and verify there are no leaks around filter.

5. Reset any maintenance indicator, if applicable, and record the date/hours of change for future reference.
